Interconnections Portal to the Distribution network of Renewable Energy Generators
AES El Salvador launches the Interconnection Portal to the Distribution network of Renewable Energy (InteReD), an online platform in which the users may request the interconnection of their generation plants to the distribution network, offering them a world class experience through a digital process that is efficient, precise, and agile.
Through the InteReD portal you will be able to apply for the following:
GDR
Interconnection for Renewable Distributed Generation (GD): This service is addressed to generating users who wish to sell the total production of their renewable energy, injecting it (*) to the distribution network.
(*) Conditions subject to pre-feasibility and feasibility studies.
UPR
Interconnection for End Users Renewable Energy Prosumer (UPR) This service is addressed to users with a generation capacity to supply their internal demand and who, in a temporary and exceptional condition, may inject (*) their surplus of renewable energy to the distribution network according to the current regulation.
(*) Conditions subject to pre-feasibility and feasibility studies.
How are the applications handled in the InteReD Portal?
1. The application and documentation are presented by the user in the Portal.
2. The application’s corresponding payment.
3. A pre-feasibility and feasibility analysis of the application is performed.
4. Technical analysis, documental review, and inspection processes that correspond are made.
5. A resolution of the analysis is issued.
6. The hiring is made through an automatized management process.
7. Request to change the meter (if applicable).
8. Change of meter and granting of operation permits.
Throughout the management process, you shall receive automated information and feedback by the Interconnection Portal on the status of your application, as well as spaces to solve and concerns and comments.
