AES El Salvador and ASTER Power refresh children’s exhibition “Energy and Its Guardians”

February 14, 2025

AES El Salvador, together with ASTER Power and the support of the Tin Marín Museum, has renovated the educational exhibition “Energy and Its Guardians.” The reopening of this playful space for children will promote a culture of awareness about the importance of electric energy and environmental sustainability.

A group of school children in uniforms, along with AES representatives and staff in orange Tin Marín aprons, participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony at an interactive energy exhibit. The exhibit features a large white pillar with the sign "La Energía y sus Guardianes" and bright yellow lightning decorations. The children hold lightning bolt-shaped cutouts, smiling for the camera in a colorful, educational space.

The renovated exhibition invites children to discover, in a dynamic way, how electrical energy is generated, transmitted and distributed. Through interactive stations that combine technology, education and entertainment, the space seeks to stimulate curiosity and learning among children.

A journey full of magic and technology

The new showroom has been designed to provide an immersive experience, inspired by pop art and superhero comics. Visitors, as they move through the different stations, assume the role of a “guardian of energy”

Main stations in the exhibition include:

  • Thermal generation: An opportunity to learn how heat is converted into electrical energy and its relevance to energy supply.
  • Renewable energy: Through interactive information you can explore and learn about the types of renewable energy.
  • Safety tips and responsible use: Practical advice to encourage energy saving in the home.

Each activity is designed to reinforce learning through play, allowing children to understand the importance of energy in their daily lives in fun and engaging way.

A commitment to education and sustainability

The renovation of this exhibition represents the commitment of AES El Salvador and ASTER Power to promote knowledge about the electricity sector in an accessible and inspiring way for new generations.

“At AES El Salvador, we believe that the future of energy is in the hands of the new generations, and our commitment to education is permanent. That‘s why ‘Energy and its Guardians’ is one of the major milestones that we will add in 2025 to the trajectory of our educational program Magical Energy,” said Virginia Trujillo, AES El Salvador’s Communications and External Relations Director.

The alliance with the Tin Marín Museum reinforces the value of children's education through innovative spaces where children can learn while they play and discover the fascinating world of electric energy.

With this exhibition refresh, AES El Salvador, ASTER Power and the Tin Marín Museum demonstrate once again their commitment to education and sustainable development, investing in a more conscious and responsible generation, accelerating the future of energy for Salvadoran children.
