AES highlighted that the modernization of power lines drives the economic and social development of the benefited communities, in addition to minimizing interruptions in service caused by weather conditions or traffic accidents.

"This is a quality service project that consists of replacing old wiring with more robust and resistant wiring, which will allow us to improve the response speed to contingencies thanks to a more efficient connection scheme between distribution substations," said Abel Villalta, Construction Supervisor of AES EEO.

In addition, with an investment of $246,000, AES installed new electrical equipment at the El Tránsito substation, in the department of San Miguel. This improvement will benefit customers in the communities located in the aforementioned district and in rural areas of the Jucuarán district, Usulután.

In this way, AES El Salvador continues to execute its 2024 investment plans in the eastern part of the country, implementing new technologies in the electricity distribution sector in the rural communities of Usulután to accelerate the future of energy.
